Export workouts

You can export your workouts to import them into another Trayn environment, process them outside of Trayn, or just as a backup.

There are multiple ways to export workouts. The resulting export file remains the same, no matter how the download file was generated.

Structure

The export only contains the references actually used in the workout. The following references are included

  • Exercises

  • Exercise parameters

  • Test parameters

  • Training zone models

Session templates

To export a single session template, navigate to the Micro overview page and open the options menu (⋮) of the template you want to export. Pick the option Download as JSON and download the file to your computer

You can also export a list of session templates from the Micro overview page. To do this, open the ⋮ menu next to the Create new template at the top of the page and select Export Session Templates ①. This turns on selection mode and lets you pick the workouts you want to export ②. You can use the search function or the the page numbers below the list to find workouts that are not immediately visible and your selection will not be lost

If you have selected all the workouts you want to export, click Download JSON at the bottom of the page ③.

From the print dialog

Open the dialog for printing workouts, either from the Micro overview page or from the sidebar in a calendar. Find the Download section and activate the JSON push button, then select Download JSON.

From an athlete's workout list

Navigate to the Workout List tab on the athlete's profile page. Tick the checkboxes of the workouts you want to export ①. They can be either of type "Private Copy" or type "Links to Session Template". In both cases the full data of the workout will be included in the exported file. Finally click the "Download JSON" button below the list ②.
