Every athlete has their own individual calendar. In addition, they may also see calendars of the teams in which they are members.
Events on the athlete's individual calendar can only be seen by them and trainers that are working with the athlete. In a classic trainer-athlete setup, the trainer creates workouts and assigns them to the athlete on a specific date. As soon as the athlete is done with their workout, they can track the workout and add more information: detailed tracking, skipped sets, comments.
By default an athlete may not add anything to their calendar but change the actual training. You can change this from the environment settings.
Track workout
A workout added to an athlete's calendar or to a team calendar can be "tracked". In order to do this, the athlete can check-off the training to mark it as completed. This creates a "tracked workout" in the athlete's individual calendar with a copy of the plan and the actual training details that match the plan. On this tracked workout, an athlete may change the workout details to document the actual training.
In order to reset a workout to its planned state, the athlete can remove the tracked workout:
Edit own calendar
An athlete may take full ownership of their own calendar if this setting is enabled.
Since the introduction of this feature, we have extended it with a lot of feedback, but the general ideas have stayed the same: athletes can
Add workouts, competitions, and other events to their calendars
Edit title, description, and date/time of events on their calendar
Delete their events
On the other side, trainers can edit all details in an athlete's calendar. Regardless of whether an athlete or a trainer has created the event.
