In Trayn, we support a lot of different organizational setups. The Team in the Trayn app has it's name from the team in team sports. However, it's much more flexible and with the right settings, it adapts to different setups.
In this article, we will focus on single-athlete teams, i.e. teams with only one athlete and one or more trainers that work with this athlete. We handle these athletes/teams in a certain way to make working with them easier.
Setup
In order to configure a team with only one athlete, you have to change the athlete limit setting for the team to Single Athlete.
With this setting, you may not assign more than one athlete to the team. The number of trainers is not restricted.
Working with single-athlete teams
If a team is set to single athlete and has one athlete assigned, there are a few things that are now easier than without this setting.
Trainers can now easily navigate to the athlete via the team switcher
All teams with that setting will show up in the list with the athlete's profile image next to them.
Note: if the only athlete assigned to the team is deactivated, you cannot select the team from the team chooser.
When selecting a single-athlete team, the navigation will change slightly: instead of Athletes in the top navigation, you will now see Athlete Profile and clicking this will lead you directly to the current athlete's profile
Additionally, when working on a workout template, you will see an Add to Calendar button which allows you to directly assign the selected workout to the current athlete's calendar.
