Integrate external tracking services

Learn how to setup your environment to synchronize data from external tracking services.

Updated over 2 years ago

In Trayn athletes can synchronize their training date from a selection of services. Athletens may import data related to the execution of their workouts into Trayn where their trainers can review the data.

Currently the following services are supported:

Configuration

By default, this feature is disabled. To get started, your administrator has go to the Environment settings in the admin interface and enable the toggle for Tracking Integrations, which can be found in the beta section at the bottom. After the changes have been saved, a link to External Tracking settings becomes available in the navigation to the left.

On the External Tracking page, you can set how to map from external services to your own data in Trayn by creating one or more data mappings.

A simple data mapping might have only entries for duration, energy, and maximum heart rate, whereas a mapping for endurance sports might have also entries for distance, pace and altitude gain.

Connect your account

For information on how to connect a Trayn account with on of the supported services and how to actually synchronize your data, see this article:

Preparing workouts

When preparing a workout, trainers will now see a drop-down box labeled "Template for Tracking Summary" which allows them to select a data mapping. This is only relevant if more than one data mappings have been created.
