Synchronize Tracking Data
Synchronize Tracking Data

This article describes how you can import your tracking data from external services into Trayn.

Updated over a year ago

If you use a tracking service such as Garmin Connect, Polar Flow or Google Fit to record your workouts, you can synchronize tracked data into Trayn to allow your trainers to see what you have achieved.

This guide assumes that the integration feature has been enabled for your environment. See this article for more information: Integrate external Tracking Services

Setup

Open your user profile, click the link Connect with External Services and activate the toggle Enable Synchronization on top of the page. Next, click on the button of any tracking service you are using and want to connect with your Trayn account. A pop-up will open and guide you through authentication and authorization to enable the data flow

Synchronization

Once the setup is complete, you will see the link "Sync Activity" at the bottom of each workout detail page:

Clicking the button will retrieve all workouts you have tracked with connected services on that day. Once you have found the correct activity, confirm the selection. This will mark the workout in Trayn as "Done" and copy the data from the connected service and store it in Trayn so your trainers can see it.

You can also sync data from activities, that have not been planned by your trainer. Click the "Sync Activities" button on the training overview page:

You'll then see a list of today's tracked activities. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to previous days. For each tracked activity you can start synchronisation by either selecting one of the planned workouts or by creating a new workout.
