Sometimes you may want to remove exercises that are not relevant anymore. To do this, open the exercise in the library and click the Delete button at the top of the page. After asking for your confirmation, the app will attempt to delete the exercise.
Note: Depending on the ownership model in your environment, the "Delete" button may only be visible to you on exercises that have been created by you.
In case the exercise is used in a workout, is marked with a star by anyone, or is referenced from a test, a dialog will pop up and ask you how you want to continue situation:
You may
Remove all references, or
Update references to another exercise
The first option is to remove all references. This will remove the exercise from any workout and from any test that is referencing it. After running this, you will not see any trace that this exercise was there before.
The second option is to update the references to another exercise. When selecting this option, a search field will show up that will allow you to select the new target exercise. After selecting a target exercise and clicking Proceed, workouts and tests will show the newly selected exercise in place of the deleted one.
How to merge exercises
If you want to merge two similar exercises, follow these simple steps
Decide which exercise to keep and which to delete
Ensure that you copy all relevant information to the exercise you want to keep: this may include description, images, video links, etc.
Delete the exercise and in the pop up, select the Update References option as described above
Delete multiple exercises at once
In case you need to perform a big cleanup of your exercise library, you can use the multi-delete mode in the library, which is initiated from the three-dot menu in the header.
You can then select all exercises you want to remove. At the bottom of the exercise list you'll find a button to start the batch deletion.
In case one or more of the selected exercises can't be deleted because they are still in use, they will be shown in a list and you can handle them one by one.
