Learn how to build a questionnaire.

When you want to prepare a questionnaire for your athletes and/or staff start by creating a new template: Open the Questionnaires via the main navigation and click the Create new template button.

Add Name and Description for your questionnaire, so your users will better understand what it is about.

Advanced usage:

Next, use the Add Question button to add at least one question.

Enter your Question and, optionally, add some more text as Explanation.

If the Optional checkbox is ticked, athletes will be able to submit the questionnaire without giving an answer for this question.

Answers

There are four types of answers

  • Predefined

  • Yes/No

  • Number

  • User

  • Free Text

Predefined Answers

Predefined answers can be used to define scales for answering your question.

Your athletes can answer the question by clicking one of the options on a slider control:

Yes/No

This answers can be used for yes-no questions. You can specify the wording for the positive and negative answer. The question will be answered by selecting one from the two options

Number

Numeric answers can be used for anything that can be counted or quantified, e.g. body temperature, steps or portions of fruit/vegetables. You can specify both minimum and maximum allowed input values. Additionally you can add a unit and select through wich control the athlete can enter their answer: input field or slider.

With the input field, your users can enter a number directly or using +/- buttons to answer the question. They can also enter decimal numbers:

The slider is similar to the one used for predefined answers. Your users can click on the slider to answer the question. Only integer numbers can be entered with this control:

User

Respondents will see a dropdown menu with a list of users. You can configure whether this list should be limited to only athletes, or trainers or show all users.

Athlete answering such a questions will only be able to pick users which are visible to them. User visibility is configured for each team. Learn more about this in this article.

Free text

This answer type allows your users to enter any text to answer the question.

Ordering

You can order the questions by clicking the up/down arrows to the left of each question. If there are many questions, use the Hide details/Show details toggle button to get a more compact view:

Preview

You can use the Preview button, to get an immediate impression of how your questionnaire will look like for your athletes. The preview will open in an overlay

Saving

When you're satisfied with your questionnaire click Save. If you want to activate your new questionnaire right away, use the Save and activate button.
