Design performance tests

You can create custom performance assessment tests with parameters of your choice.

Updated over a year ago

Performance tests, or just "tests" for short, are a way to record, manage and evaluate performance measurements of athletes in a structured way. Results from a test may be used to individualize workouts.

Click "Tests" in the main navigation bar to see a list of all available performance tests. You can search the tests by name and configure how they are ordered by clicking the button below the search input.

Screenshot of the overview page for performance tests. At the top there's a button for creating new tests. Below there's a search input and a button for ordering the tests. The lower parts of the screen is filled with cards giving short summaries for the tests availalble.

On the overview page, there's a button above the list of tests, which allows you to create a new one. To edit an existing one, select it from the list and then click the "Edit" button.

On the "Edit" page, you'll find input fields for name and description (optional) of the test.

The configuration of Test Parameters is the most important part. They define what the results of your test are. You have to add at least one test parameter.
For the first parameter, you can select whether high or low values are good. This will help the app to sort results in a meaningful way.

If you're missing a test parameter, you (or the administrators of your environment) can add them on the Admin page for Test Parameters.

If you remove a test parameter for which already some results have been recorded, these results won't be deleted but will not show up anymore for the test. They are however still available for individualizing workouts.

Test Variables (optional) describe how the test should be done. They can be used to specify i.e. the duration for a Cooper Test.

You can also link a test with an exercise. This is necessary if you want to use the test to record results for an "exercise specific" test parameter. Read more in the "Individualize with Testing" article.

All changes have to be saved manually by clicking the green β€œSave” button at the bottom.
