When you assign a template to an athlete all workouts will be copied from the template to the calendar of the athlete. After assignment you can adapt the duration of the assignment in case you only want to assign a part of the meso template, e.g. you have a 12 week marathon preparation template but there are only 10 weeks left until the marathon takes place.
Using the Assign template from... setting you can control if the template is clipped from the start or from the end:
Start - the sessions at the end of the template will be omitted. This is useful for progressions. This is the default setting for newly created meso templates.
End - the first sessions will be omitted. Useful in preparation for a competition with a specific date.
The setting can be changed on the edit page of a meso template. There is a button in the top region of the page indicating the current status. Click the button to configure the assignment direction of your template:
Existing assignments are not affected from changing this setting as long as they are not edited or synced.
