If the attendance features is enabled for athletes, all scheduled events will show two buttons at the top which allow to set the attendance status:
If there are multiple types of absence or attendance, a click on the button will open a modal dialog in which all options are listed.
To reset the attendance status, simply click the selected button again.
Events on the overview page indicate their status with a pill. The left side reflects the attendance status, the right side the tracking status:
