Ownership models

Control how you manage ownership of content in your environment.

Updated over 2 years ago

If you are using Trayn in an organization with several trainers, you might want to control who can edit which content.

In Trayn, you can manage the following content:

  • Exercises: what you see in the library

  • Workout Sessions: one ore more exercises with parameters

  • Micro Templates: a set of workouts on one ore more days

  • Macro Templates: planning for a longer period of time

  • Tests Templates: a set of parameters for which you want to collect measurements

You can choose between two different ownership models for your content

  • Open: This allows all trainers to edit all content in your environment. This is suitable for small organization where everyone knows and trusts each other, or where you have active communication between all involved members of the training staff. This is the default setting.

  • Restricted: Contents is owned by its creator. Trainers can see the content created by their colleagues but cannot alter or delete it. They can however create a copy of it which will then belong to them.

To change this setting, you need to have access to the administration settings of your environment. In the admin interface, open Environment and toggle the switch Restrict content editing on if you want to use the Restricted ownership model.

Also, have a look at other environment settings.
