To receive push notifications, you have to activate the setting Push notification to current browser in the Notifications section in your Profile. When activating this for the first time, you will have to confirm your preferences for notifications from Trayn.
Note: This feature is not supported by all systems and there are some limitations to when notifications can be received. If your device doesn't support push notifications, this setting for it won't show up.
Supported
Desktop: Windows/MacOS/Linux
Push notifications are supported by Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. Safari supports push notifications since version 16.1 but only on macOS 13.
When enabling push notifications doesn't work, maybe you have declined an earlier request to allow them. In this case, please review your browsers settings for the Trayn website.
Notifications will only show while the browser is running. Trayn doesn't have to be open in any tab or window. However, while a window or tab with the Trayn app is focused, no desktop notification will be shown but unread messages will be indicated inside the app.
Android
Push notifications are supported by most major browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, Edge, Opera Mobile).
You might have to allow your browser to show notifications. These settings can be usually managed through the settings dialog of your browser or from the notifications section in the system settings of your phone.
iOS version 16.4 or newer
Push notifications are supported in Safari version 16.4 and newer if the web app has been installed via the "Add to Home Screen" function.
Not Supported
iOS before version 16.4
If you're using an older version of Safari and want to receive push notifications on your iOS device, please install our app: Trayn on the App Store
